As with all insurance policies, conditions and exclusions will apply.
Cover to consider
Life insurance
Can pay a lump sum if you die during the policy term, subject to its terms and exclusions. The payment could help repay a mortgage or support your family, depending on the amount of cover.
Critical illness cover
Can pay a lump sum if you are diagnosed with a condition covered by the policy and meet its definition and any survival period. Not every illness or level of severity is covered.
Income protection
Can replace part of your income if illness or injury prevents you from working and you meet the policy's claim criteria. Waiting periods, benefit limits and exclusions apply.
Home insurance
Buildings insurance covers the structure of your home; contents insurance covers belongings, subject to policy terms and excesses. Your lender may require buildings insurance, but contents cover is usually optional.
